As you may know, there have been some changes to the accessibility of the port roadway where The Cannery is located. These changes are due to the security initiatives of the Vancouver Port Authority.

Recently Transport Canada adopted the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) which requires governments, agencies, shipping and port industries to take preventative measures against security incidents. In order to meet these new security standards, The Port of Vancouver has implemented new security practices. This involves electronic gates and a pass system that allows vehicles access according to authorized security levels.

While access points at Heatley Avenue and Victoria Drive will remain closed, Clark Drive and Commissioner Street access points are open. Patrons of The Cannery are allowed access at these two points. Please make sure to check for directions and refer to the photos below for instructions on the new security system".
