The Cannery Seafood Restaurant will be closing its doors after the 2010 Vancouver Olympics

In November 2007, the decision was made by the Metro Vancouver Port Authority not to renew the lease due to new port security regulations. Efforts taken to find a buyer or suitable new location have been unsuccessful. The restaurant will continue to operate in its present location until the end of March 2010.

Fans and long term employees of the Cannery are saddened that a very successful restaurant and Vancouver icon is closing. The Cannery will leave a legacy of special moments in the memories of guests and the dedicated staff.

Breathtaking sunsets, a magnificent view of the North Shore and mountains, and wonderful food savoured with friends and family will be fondly remembered.

Several unique and fun events are being planned and will be announced in the coming weeks. We hope you can join us in celebrating The Cannery’s 38 years of business and rich history.
