The Cannery relocating in 2010!

As you may have heard through the local media recently, major changes are scheduled for The Cannery during the spring of 2010.

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) has announced that it will not renew leases for non container-related businesses within the port for security and operational reasons after 2010. Consequently, we are happy to announce that The Cannery will be moving to a brand new site in the spring of 2010.

We enjoy an excellent relationship with the VFPA and are pleased that they have extended our present lease beyond 2010 so we can benefit from business during the Olympics as well as plan the move to our new location.

We understand that circumstances change and although we will miss our present location, we look forward to the next chapter in a long association with our patrons. The Cannery has a lengthy history and we will continue to do what we do best - to provide the most memorable dining experience in the Lower Mainland in a warm and unique waterfront setting. In celebrating our past, we look forward to an exciting future.

In the meantime, we will be operating in our current port location, so please visit us with your friends and family as often as possible. We are planning a countdown celebration in the fall of 2009 when we will be revealing details of our new location, so stay tuned!
